Operations Associate

To provide end-to-end operational support to the RAMAM Equity Solutions business, as well as funds from other areas of the Group as may be required.

Specific activities and responsibilities required


Key responsibilities & accountabilities (including but not limited to the following)

  • Liaising with R&M traders and third-party providers in the booking, matching and settlement of equity and FX trades
  • Managing the timely resolution of trade queries
  • Monitoring daily cash balances, projections, and FX hedges: generating and calculating FX trades/hedges
  • Monitoring daily NAV valuations, investor flows, monthly reconciliation of segregated accounts and funds
  • Liaising with portfolio managers for processing and instructing corporate actions and proxy voting
  • Maintaining security, portfolio, and index data
  • Operational set up for new fund/account launches including transitions, market opening and broker setups
  • Liaising with all internal departments and external service providers, including Fund Managers, Distribution, Marketing, Compliance, BNYM Middle Office, Custodians and Trade Counterparties to ensure all queries are responded to and resolved in a timely manner
  • Assisting in projects to improve efficiency and scalability of the department

Business awareness/Compliance

  • Comply with relevant FCA rules and regulations, and River and Mercantile Solutions policies as they apply to the jobholder, including adherence to FCA Individual Conduct Rules.
  • Builds upon understanding of the various aspects of the RMG business and develops relationships with all employees across various functions.


Knowledge & experience

  • Relevant industry experience of around 3-4 years in investment management operations, specifically operations for a long only equity boutique dealing with trade processing/settlement, reconciliations, valuations, transfer agency, fund accounting/IBOR, client reporting, corporate actions and proxy voting
  • Direct exposure to global equities and FX
  • Understanding of current regulatory requirements (MiFID II/EMIR/UCITs)
  • Experience with ETF operations would be beneficial
